Site Question

I hate when things just start happening and you have no explanation. But here is my question. I noticed today when I go to make a reply in various threads Not all the function options show up such as the emojis . When I start a thread they are all there such as this one. did I hit a button to shut them off? Now I can hit the 3 dots and it opens up the more options but I never use to have to do that. I hate computers.
