Hi fellas, here I have my 1st sucessfull casted blank. It is silver pearlex, walnut streamers, and casting craft resin.Turned polished and assembled to a skeleton key kit in antique brass.I used a large mold and had maple shavings with bronze pearlex in the other half.Poured both colors at the same time and some of the bronze seeped over.
What do you think?C&C welcome.

I think the blank looks great, that kit isn't my favorite, but that is just personal preference. Casting might be my favorite part of pen (and other things) making. Good luck with that addiction.

KCW,my intentions are to eventually cast some small burls to make hybrid boxes. That's should probably take some practice before attempting though.Pen blanks are perfect to learn on.

Thanks fellas.
