I have a Jr. Gent 2 with a 1/8" oops at one end of the lower barrel. I'm not keen to put an oops band on this pen. Can a Jr. Gent 2 handle a 1/8" shortening of the lower barrel?

Is it a rollerball or a fountain pen? Fountain pen yes. Rollerball should be fine with the 888 refill as it is flexible. The 5888 refill might be questionable. The spring in the kit really gives you some flexability in that length. 1/8" isn't all that bad.

Fountain pen! That's the ticket. It's an RB, but can easily be changed if it turns out the RB refill doesn't fit.

Thanks, not sure where my brain was this morning. (Probably still in bed where it's warm.)

It should be fine, even if it is a rollerball. The JG spring is between 1/4 and 5/16 inches. IF the spring is fully compressed, simply remove it and shorten it by 1/8 inch. The odds are good it will work without modification. DAMHIKT:)
