Just finished mounting my Sherline 4400 lathe to a nice wooden base and started messing around a bit.

I bought the mill column accessory and love it. These things are like jewels! So well made and beautiful. There are a few accessories I still want but maybe next year. Anyway here is my metal lathe:

You will love it, I have the same an the 8 axis knee mill both with the DRO's. I also have the CNC rotary table which paid for it self when I was manufacturing parrot cage toys. Drilling spaced hole around circle parts.
They do have a limited number of wood turning access.
If you order and accessories from them on the phone ask them if they still have the retired discount. It saved a bunch of money when I bought mine.
The riser blocks to increase the size of items to six inches dia, should be the first thing you get.
Enjoy!
