Did you use a mill to inlay the Paua shell strips?

A few months ago I bought a Taig configured for CNC along with stepper motors, a controller and a bunch of tooling ("When will you make an end?" Pope Julius and my wife), and have gently stepped on the learning curve. I'm making a little progress with help from some very generous and patient friends, but still feel like Sisyphus.

Thanks for the kind words.
Doug

"When I am finished." Michelangeno. At least you have a nice pen or two to show for your Sisyphean labors. (Darn gravity!)

Love the rich colors in your chosen shell. They work well with the black base.

At least you're not like Prometheus - that liver stuff would really hurt!
