When the cool temps arrive, the flounder push up to feed. Fishing has always been a passion for me. I've done about all styles, from ice fishing, fly fishing to deep sea fishing. But I love chasing the flounder. Great eating fish but I usually release them to fight another day or I might bring one home for my Neighbor.

The one fish is called a mullet. He was a shock this morning as they usually never bite any baits or lures. Really big for a mullet. They are popular to be used as bait but usually 4-5 inches. He grabbed my line and took off running, I thought I had a monster flounder LOL

... and that mullet is a hoss too!

My son just moved to Florida, and while he will miss hunting the mountains in Virginia, he is LOVING the fishing. He was catching mullet (even big ones like yours) on artificials (jig-grub) too! Then he hit the mother load, 4 or 5 nice large trout!!

I do believe fishing to be one of the most fun things one can pursue!

My relatives in Ga. have a fish fry every now & then. They always get about 30 lbs. of mullet. They are bony, but a tasty fish just the same.
