I love the kit from top to bottom. I actually just sold one with yellow dinosaur scale-like TS (I was thinking of keeping it myself). As I was replacing the refill with a 5888, I noticed the the writing tip did not protrude as much as other RB's tips. So I replaced it with the original 588, but that also didn't protrude as much as RBs usually do. Then I stretched the spring and still no improvement.
Apparently, the opening of the nib (lower grip section) is not large enough to accommodate the "shoulders (bottom of the point's cone).
Anyone else have this experience?
