These are for my sister as a thank you for hosting our family thanksgiving.
Curly maple and curly cherry sides and handles with walnut accents.

Mal, they do 'nest'. The smaller sits within the larger for easier storage when not in use.

You may wonder why the walnut slice is in the end of the handles. I wanted to strengthen that area since the grain of the cherry would be apt to break. I made the walnut grain go across the cherry.

I think that the walnut insert is pretty classy, actually !!! . Nice to know that it has a functional purpose !!
