I thought I'd take advantage of the longer tube length on the Atlas to try some more elaborate segmenting. This is the first Atlas I've done, and I have to say that it was a bit of a pain to assemble. The instructions that woodcraft provided were less than precise.

Nice color combo Mickie. Thats a great segmenting pattern. Maybe add a thin piece of aluminum of copper between the segments to pop the seperate pieces.
It would make it a little easier to tell whats going on in the picture. Holding it is probably another story though......

Thanks for the compliments.

The pen got snapped up by a co-worker about 2 days after I posted here, so I can't go back and take another pic.

Where do people get thin metal sheets to segment with? I'm guessing that they aren't using aluminum foil. I do like the effect on some of the other pens I've seen.

Very nice and a combo I will not be able to do, I am horribly allergic to bloodwood! Made a long bow that had some in it and won a trip to the ER.
