I'm a French pen turner and i'd like to translate some of Russ pages to make them more accessible to French speaking pen turners.

I'd like to get the authorization before doing so, but i don't know who i should ask...

Thanks

I may be wrong, but I think you are ok to use any freely publically available internet material for a non-profit use.
Ethically, provided you credit him properly for the work then I doubt you would have an issue. Russ was always willing to share and I think he would be pleased to see his efforts being translated and still being used.
I don't know if his DVD's are still being sold by his estate and think that if they are what you want to translate ( and make available, even for free ) then you would need permission from his estate.
Good luck

Contact "Scott" (IAP username). He knows Mrs. Fairfield.

Whether it is a legal necessity or not, you certainly show more class by getting their permission. I would think they will be VERY HAPPY to allow it.
