Second batch of pens - Noobie

Been turning for a shade over 1 month. This is my second batch of pens. #4 and #5 to be exact. Planning to order some nice kits soon. These are just the Woodcraft European kits. Photographed using natural window light on a nice cherry burl slab. The dark one is macassar ebony and the light one is actually black walnut. About half the blank was sapwood. (I think)

The pens look nice. A tighter crop on the individual pens would be nice to be able to see them better. The walnut pen seems to fade into the background.

Good looking pens just not sure about the prop and IMHO needs cropping.

Ditto what Roy said. Difficult to see the fit and finish to give much comment. Also not sure that I like the backdrop. Maybe something a little less busy and with less texture.[]
