Sea Urchin Ornament

Well, here is my first attempt at a sea urchin ornament. I am mostly please with the outcome. the photos don't really show the lavender tint in the urchin shell very well. I chose purple heart and they go well together. Thanks for looking. I'm always open to feedback.

CSUSA sells the urchin shells. Saw them just a few days ago in their sales flyer.

Beautiful work, Martin. I think you got the finial length just right. Seems well proportioned to the size of the shell.

Thanks everyone! I did get this from CSUSA last year and it has sat in a box. I did find it necessary to take a sanding disc to the top and bottom to sand flush some of the knobs. They actually look nice sanded flush. I would like to experiment with sanding all of them flush on another one and perhaps gluing colored beads or sequins on those spots. Might be an interesting project with the kids. Hoping others will post photos of their urchin ornaments for inspiration. Thanks again.
