After watching Tim Yoder's excellent video of making a birdhouse using eight discs of wood glued together and hollowed out to make a birdhouse I took it on as a challenge to see how it would work with a Ringmaster .
Here is my version . Two discs of poplar for the body and one piece of scrap OSB for the top .
No perch on purpose because it is for swallows and with all the square boxes I have made years ago I was informed to not use a perch for swallows .
One coat of shellac sealer and two coats of exterior UV rated varnish. Will let that cure for about a week and then lightly sand and apply a finish coat.
