I posted this winged box yesterday and decided, with some help on another site, to rework the top. It took 4 new tops and 2 new finials to achieve the look that I am now happy with. Hope you enjoy. Russell

For those in the Atlanta area. I believe Mike Peace will be doing a demo on how to make these at the Gwinnett Woodworkers Turners meeting on Thursday (3/10) night at Peachtree Woodworking.

BTW...Russell....I think it looks really good and I am wanting to learn to do this.

My Grandfather had an axe for 40 yrs (had several new handles and a few new heads) just jogged my memory.

Russell your winged box was worth it to get great satisfaction taking your time and extra material paid off. I note Richard Raffan has had a great influence over there with your finial.

Thanks for showing.

Kind regards Peter.

Much better form! Nicely done! I think I know what you were going for on the last top (symmetry) but this is more pleasing to look at.

Well played!
