I'm fairly new to turning (December, 2013), so I don't know if this has already been thrashed out. What I'd like to do is take a commercial click RB gel like the Pilot G2 or uni-ball Signo as a base, reuse the insides and click mechanism and turn the pen body to fit them into. My addiction has me up to 105 pens in 3 months and I just can't afford to keep buying kits at $12.00+ each. I'm thinking this might be a more economical approach if it can be made to work.
