I'm just a bit curious about everyones use of renaissance wax. I use it myself, but I apply it by hand after I have finished assembling my pen. Reading about people finishing methods on here has me wondering if you are using it to finish the barrels on the lathe, while its running, as a final coat. Just wondering if you find you get a better shine with it that way, or just doing it for simplicity?
I always assemble the pen, dip my (just cleaned) finger in the container then wipe it all over the pen, wait a minute or so to dry, then wipe of the remaining with a clean dry cloth (I like to use the blue paper towel things you can get from home depot).
