well here's my first so called "segmented" pen. Not really segmented, but more like "fixed or repaired" !! This was done out of neccessity, not by design!!! I think it turned out pretty good, lemme know what y'all think!! I had a blowout nearing the end of turning the upper part of a cigar pen, that portion I found didn't have enough glue on it...d**n it!!! So I figured I'd use the pick-guards I bought from CS-USA. later dudes & dudettes!!

Does look nice. If it were possible to replicate the same thing on the lower tube, it would be even cooler, but I think by the way you state your dilemma, you couldn't b/c you didn't have much red acrylic to go.

Thanks Tom, Redfish, Ken & Mark, Redfish, you were right, I didn't have extra of that red acrylic to spare. That piece came from some scrap of a Polaris, that also screwed up!!
