i recently started pen turning and these are some of my favorites that i have made 3 of them in 1 day

i know pretty bad photos but its the best i have for now. i hope you all will like them

I agree with jonathan - beautiful segmenting lines! Very well done. I like how you are experimenting with shapes using basic slimline kits. That is exactly what I did when I first started out. By the way, is the far right pen turned from Olive wood?

thank you all. yes the one on the right is olive wood i like it too but the wood ended up cracking on me so i had to cover it up with the clip

Some nice work there! If your blank cracked when you were pressing the pen together it MAY have been becuase there was glue inside the tube (very common) check closely .... I use some brass brushes meant for cleaning guns but you can also use a small round file. Chamfering the inside of the tubes slightly with a countersink also helps.

i was wondering how i should finish my pens. im currently using Hut wax the brown and white bars. They are ok but i would like a shinier finish

The next step in the natural progression is shellawax. Easy to apply but not that durable. Or you can skip that step and go straight to CA. Fairly easy to apply and very durable. I have some shellawax if you want to try it. I can also show you how to do a CA finish as well.

that would be very nice i should have an ebony and that linsun you gave me available and ready to be worked when i come home today i get home around 5-6 and i start working immediately
