Been super busy filling some orders and I felt like sharing some of my work with yall. All are made with Silmar 41 with mica powders and dyes for colors. On a side note, I want to thank all the members from last Saturdays Georgia pen turners meeting. Yall almost bought me out of all my stock blanks so now I get to play in my office cooking up new blanks!

You have some great swirls going on there. I find now that it is cooler here in Louisiana that i cannot time the thickening of the silmar and I just get seperate colors. In the summer I couldn`t get to it fast enough before it started jelling.
Question: What mica colors are you using for the oranges purples and blues?

Jonathon,
The blank I got Saturday for the Auburn fan was a huge success! The purchaser loved it and can't wait for Christmas to come so they can give it as a gift. Delivered it before I could get a picture but it was a Slimline with silver components. Thanks.

If you check out the Resin Color Library there is data on gel times for varioius resins / temps / catalyst rates. It might be helpful for you.

Or do what I usually do- just slowly swirl the popsicle stick every minute or so, when you feel it starting to provide more resistance (think honey), pour it.
