question on rope twist pens

hi guys i am wantign to try some new pens that i have seen on here . how do you get the rope twist on the blank.

You can purchase equipment: Pen Wizard (afforable) or much more expensinve ornamental mills (Legacy).

If you are handy and patient, you can use a RASP to get the rope twist effect doing it by hand.

For the rope twist pens that I make, I have the Legacy Revo which is the small machine in the Legacy line up. It uses a router with special bits and is amazing at what it can do.

I use the rope bit sold for the Legacy with my Beall pen wizard.
