Hi all. Wanted to show this pen and ask a question. This is a chrome Atrax with the postable conversion. I believe the blank is Red Venetian. Was in a bundle I got from Woodcraft.

The question I have; The blank on this has a metallic sheen in certain parts of the body (which you can see in spots on each picture). I back painted the blank holes and mixed a couple drops of grey in the epoxy. Is the sheen an intended property of this type of blank or is it the tube showing through? I kind of like the look either way, just not sure what is going on.

I believe that it is a pearlescent flair in the blank, not metallic, and is is showing bright spots and depth as it should. It looks like the resin has turned more maroon that red, probably from the grey paint.

Believe I have seen that blank at WC before and have turned it sometime age. The areas you refer to are part of the blank itself.
