quarter sawn sycamore

I have some quarter sawn sycamore that I need help finishing. When I turn the wood and do a BLO/CA finish the oil turns the wood dark and the beautiful grain does not show as well. What finish would someone recommend as a finish on this wood?

CA without the BLO? A couple coats of thin should dry quiet fast, even without accelerator and it's generally clear by itself.

wipe on poly is wonderful (that is the finish I do on my best pens because of the extra time..and worth it)

BLO on Sycamore and Beech and other similar colored woods turns them quite dark. As already said, CA on its own will work.

A plexiglas finish would be perfect - it will not affect the color/tone of the wood.
