where do y'all that use it get the black and other colored PVC?

i've been trying to find a local source for this... doesn't appear all that many companies carry the type I colored PVC rod.

has anyone used straight acrylic rod with any decent results?

I purchase PVC rods from Modern Plastics. They only sell in 5 ft lengths so I share with a friend. Yes, I use the .75" diameter. If I had the time I would order a few rods of each color, cut them into blanks and offer them for sale here....hint, Hint, HInt, HINt, HINT. [] Here are pivtures of pens partly made from PVC rod. These are the only picures I could find.
