Hi All,

I asked PSI if their jaws for the Pen Blank Drill chuck would fit a Oneway Talon chuck and the response was that it only fit their chucks. So I am asking my fellow pen makers if they know if this is true, or if there is some jaws that would fit my Talon that would do the same thing.

Any machinist in the group that could make them for a Talon?

Fabricating special jaws would be expensive, perhaps more that a new chuck.

I for one, and I assume others, do their lathe drilling using jaws that come with their lathe chucks. I am not too familiar with the Talon chucks - what jaws do you have now? Tell us what you have tried to do and maybe we can offer some suggestions.

Talon is a great chuck, but nearly every thing for them is proprietary, so I'm guessing NO, but isn't the drill chuck on an MT-2 tapered arbor?

I found on Oneway's forum someone asking basically the same question and one of the responses was to use the #1 Spigot jaws (#3016). So i might give it a try.

I was going to suggest using the spigot jaws. I think it will work out great.
