Here is a plaque I made for my entry way. It is Radiata Pine from Australia and waterfall burl veneer Bubinga from Africa. I built a vacuum system and laminated the veneer to the pine and then used a CNC machine to do the 3d milling and v-carving. I then used some dark cherry stain to glaze the eagle and flag. It's a pretty spendy piece at $40 in materials and 6 hours of CNC time...sure do hope no one decides to steal it! ;)
