I was sent a few blanks to test for Constant. One green and one clear(?). I think they are Buckeye Burl. I haven't had a chance to make them into pens but I did turn them round and would like to share my results so far. At first glance both blanks appear to be solid and the dye looks like it goes all the way to the center of the blank. As I turned them, they both turned like butter. They both had the same smell as stabilized blanks that I have purchased from other places. The smell is not unpleasant. Both had some small voids that will have to be filled in when I make them into pens but neither blank seemed weakened by the voids. Overall I was very impressed and when I make them into pens, I will update this thread. Thank you, Constant for allowing me to test these.
