I'm making a pen for a buddy of mine who supplied some redwood he brought back from California.
The problem is that I've used some CA to stabilize some of the knots, before and during turning. And everywhere I've used it, I've developed some black areas in the blank.
Has anyone experienced that before? Is it a hazard of dealing with raw, unstabilized wood? Would I be better off just buying a hunk of redwood from one of the supply houses?
Thanks,
Mark
