My son and I are newbies, and we are curious about the plexi finish. (1)
What are the totals on the plexi and acetone? (2) What kind of container do you use? (3) Can it be saved? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MANY ARE COLD, BUT FEW ARE FROZEN....CUSH U. NUTT

what are the totals of the ingredients?

Hi,

I don't think there is a precise formula for this. I cut up a sheet of plexi in 1"-2" squares, and dropped them in a glass pickle jar. I filled it about 2/3's with acetone, and let it sit for a day or so, giving it a shake whenever I walked past. I got it to the consistency of maple syrup.

The acetone evaporated after a few weeks with the first batch, so I wrap some masking tape around the lid if I don't think I'll be using it for a while. If it does harden you just add more acetone and wait a few days.

I usually dip the pens and build up layers that way. I didn't have much luck thinning it and applying like a CA finish.

Good Luck!
Chris
