The Long Leaf Pine is the state tree of Alabama. I was asked to make a few of those in along with some other pens purchased from me recently. I have learned alot about turning pine cones throughout this process. I even managed to get a long click out of one of them. Comments and Critiques are welcome and thanks for looking.

very nice pens, the pine cones have a very different pattern to them

that is one monster sized pine cone

have you tried making a center band for a streamline type pen out of one of the sticky out bits??

all the best
