Awhile back, somebody posted a plaid design pen they had made. I liked it so much, I decided to try my hand at it. This was my first real attempt at segmenting, so it isn't perfect, but plenty good enough to have been a carry pen for a few months now.

I absolutely love the way the colors play nice. Trees give us great gifts:).

Segmented redheart, holly and black & white ebony on a rhodium cigar:

Very nice piece, especially the double stripe down the middle. The cigar shape really lendss itself to a plaid pattern.

Thanks everyone:). It was definitely a challenge, and took a long time, but well worth it in my opinion. To do more, I'd definitely want to fashion some sort of a jig to keep the glued pieces together. It isn't bad, but I do have some slight alignment issues that won't likely be fixed by hand.
