Having two PITH partners this year, I wanted to do something new (to me) and different for each.
This was my PITH pen for G1Pens. I used blue dyed box elder, purpleheart, walnut, red heart, hrb, olive wood, zebrawood, cocobola, and a sliver of amboyna on a JR Gent II rollerball. As for material in between the segments, I'm not sure what it is, but I've attached a picture of the veneer. Depending on the piece I used, it caused the spacer to range in color.
The biggest challenge with the pen was the purpleheart, which was placed on the end grain. Had a blow out and added some epoxy with gold pearl ex.
The finish was mm to 12000.
