Pipe Tamper...Not a PEN !

I am doing the Phoenix International Pipe show Feb, 3-4 th, I can't bring just pens and I have only a few pipes I made, so I thought I would make some pipe tampers. This is my first try. I will not point out all the screw ups, but they are there. Material is Briar wood burl, blackwood, alt ivory. Pipe makers use no finish on the briar, so I did the same and this has just a wax finish, so the briar can breathe. I cut the brass plug on my metal lathe. The little dark spot is a sand pit, common in briar wood. Deadly when making a pipe and they appear. Thaks for looking.....

About the only thing I know about pipes is that they are made with Briar Burl but I love your design. Very nice.

That looks pretty good, Anthony. I would have bought one of those back when I smoked a pipe. It's much nicer than those other pocket knife style.
