Hi all,

Just wanted to share my weekend project. My first attempt at a peppermill. It's a 6" version from a CSUSA kit. The wood is oak and birch that I had laying around for years. I glued them together and then turned them at an angle. CA finish...quite a learning experience. I got familiar with my many new chucks and tools...

Looks really nice. You did a good job on it. The finish looks superb.

Ok, it is official...you are having way to much fun turning. Way to go!

Excellent job, Art!! Looks much better than a "first effort"!!

Since there are many new members, since it was last mentioned, I wrote a 10 page or so tutorial on making peppermills. PM me with your email address and I will send it to you, free, as an attachment (pdf format).

Hi Art,

Nice peppermill, when you glue the wood together do you need to run it through a plainer or anything?

Thanks,
David
