This is the easy pepper grinder! One piece body, maple & walnut. Maple was just dimensional board (1x3, so actually 3/4x2 1/2) laminated together, then, sliced diagonally, and walnut boards added as accent pieces. I spaced out and reset the miter gauge after the first slice, intending to turn the miter gauge in the other direction. Flipping the blank over for the second cut would have been much more accurate!

Anyway, I got lazy and chose not to cut the recess in the top of the turning for the grinder mechanism.

I ran out of clamps while gluing the blank together!

I like the mill. It is real classy, but I can just see my pinky coming out the other side of the gears looking like a Ruffle potato chip. I really do like the idea though of the crank. Very good work on the turning. I am going to have to try my hand on one of them, some time.
