Timber with a Titanium Gold Longwood Cigar.
Sanded 400x, burnished with turned wood shavings, buffed with
Ultrafine Steel Wool and applied 6 coats of MINWAX Clear Gloss Polyurethane.
No MM, buffing or polishing required!

Wow!

I like that. My first pen was in Australian Cypress, and it was a gold cigar. Didn't look like that though. I'd never seen anyone use Australian Cypress for anything like knives, razors, or pens before. I happen to have a freind who gave me some that was left over scrap from a flooring job he did. I cracked so many blanks that I just decided to CA glue the one that looked the less worst, and turned it. That was after the first set blew out. Then I did some research and found that it's very brittle.

What was your experience with it?

I found that it turns like butter, a lot like Soft Maple.
