I've been asked to turn five more pens and this is the first one (need to order more Sierra's as I'm out) ...

I have a bunch of Red, White and Blue Corian and having never turned Corian before so I glued some up with thin CA.

When I used my spring loaded center punch to mark where the drill was to start I had three pieces in my hands as the glue joint failed.

Used Thick CA and was able center punch, drill and then turn.

The blue has white flecks in it and looks like stars.

Sanded to 600 and then polished with Brasso.

This particular pen will be heading to Kabul, Afghanistan to a friends son who is a Ranger serving there.

I have been making a few of these myself, however I do use thin CA, and it bonds them together quick, but I still clamp them for a little while and have had no problems. Oh and the pen looks good.
