Greetings
I started a new job in Oct after being out of work since January. I landed with a great company doing what I love and I get to work from home. The meant I had to set up a work space. Good: WFH allows me to use more pens than my office job, Bad: My pens were kinda thrown around omg my desk so I needed to get organized. After much consideration and prototyping I decided that I wanted them easily accessible so this is what I came up with. It basically lines up the pens in the same spot they were haphazardly placed before.
It began as a rough bandsaw milled piece of walnut scrap. After some handplaning I set it up on the mill and cut the slots. I flocked the slots so the pens wouldn't get scuffed up. I think it looked better before the flocking. My painting is uneven so the slots look sloppy. But it works just as I hoped.
Thanks for lookin'
