Pen made from a brick

Hey Fellas and Ladies,

Have any of you ever made a pen from a brick? Or at least one made of wood which was then painted to look like a brick?

I have a friend who is a brick layer, and he wants to see if I can make him a pen from brick.

Any ideas would be helpful.
