BTW, check out the "Yard o lead" pens. Very nice. The Dean of Students here at the Seminary has one--- solid sterling--- very nice carving detail, a very well made pen--- heavier than an Emperor made from snakewood, too!

Check out this store in NYC.. I have one of their catalogs from a few years back.. I think I have seen multiple pens by multiple turners on this site every bit as nice as anything in this store..

$4,500 for a pen is no big deal. Mont Blanc had a very limited edition pen that $170,000 and Loiminchay had a limited edition of 10 hand-carved jade pens that were $250,000 each, IIRC.
