Having been inspired so many times by all of the very talented members here, I thought I would push myself to try and create more involved/interesting wine bottle stopper designs. For this one, I added an open segmentation detail. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. It definately would have been easier to have three hands when trying to put this together!
I didn't attach the top two layers until I had turned the inside giving me a fat 1/8" wall thickness. That was certainly the most nerve wracking part of the project.

I would like to work on making the open segments a little closer to the same size. there is a little more variation than I would like.
