I was fortunate enough to win some M3 blanks in the Birthday Bash drawing (thanks Richard, Jeff, Ed, and everyone else that organized the bash), and was anxious to try some new materials.
I started out to make a Jr Retro, but the tube I had for the lower blank was apparently the wrong size . I should have measured the tube or at least paid attention when I noticed it was failry loose in the drilled hole. I didn't notice until the glue was dry and I was ready to square off the blank. I thought about trying to heat up the tube and try and remove it, but ultimately, I just picked what I hoped would be another material that would go along with the M3 and came up with this:
Bits and Pieces M3 blank with Bronze acrylic for the lower barrel.
Then, for the other half of the M3 blank, I glued another brass tube inside the original (wrong sized) tube and turned this:
Neither are what I started out to do, but at least I didn't loose the blank
Thanks for looking/reading.
