How do you cut such small inlays?

I use a CNC machine made by Unique Products called the CueMonster.
The end mill is .02" in diameter and cost $15 each.
It kills me to break a bit and being so small that is not hard to do.
Drop it on the floor or bump it with anything and it's $15 please.

Rather expensive at $8000+ but less than a good laser machine.
You must also learn to draw and program the inlays using software on a PC.

I will post some photos of it in action later.

I had one and sold it to Jim Lambert

Chris Hightower also makes a Pantograph style machine.

Should you decide to get a pantograph machine I can make the templates on my CNC.

Man, that's still pricey. I was thinking maybe something similar could be built with an indexing wheel and a little imagination... that might be my next project!
