I know what you guys are going to say, "Greeneyedblackcat has totally lost it" but I'm having a blast making my medieval writing weapons. This one is blued steel (the original gun metal finish). I chose steel for this one because no matter what happens to the finish on this pen you just can't mess it up; scratches, rust, wear, etc all look great on this sucker. This is a kitless design, the wood is Bocote and I went with a mate finish on this one. I have included a picture of the parts before assembly.

That's pretty nice. Can you brighten up the photo's? I like how the cap blends in, good transition and proportions.

Its a real dark pen. Here are a few I brightened up a little, I will try to take a few more in the sun (if I ever see it again, its been raining for days :)
