Old Yellow Poplar

Well I am liking this stuff better all the time.
It is Yellow poplar--- comes from a hand hewed square log that was part of a log home-- built in the 1860's.
This stuff turns real nice----even makes a good slim-line.
The more I work with it-- the better the color.
These are part of the desk sets we are building.

Thanks everyone---Bill I am about 15 miles from Campbellsville.
Kinda back in the sticks---ain't got any neighbors--that you can see from our place. If you are ever out this way stop in and have a cup of coffee. Guest always leave with a handful of blanks. Of course folks that don't turn have a hard time understanding.--LOL
