I made these a few years ago for my nephew. He is a Black Belt in karate. The diameter and weight were to his specifications, as was the length. They're ambrosia maple. We waxed them. It's an easily renewable finish - any dimly finish was likely to wear off

I would have just let him wear in the finish of his palm oils. Sanded them to 400 grit finish and let him swing away.
Nice job though. How did you attached the chains?

Dinly? I have no idea how autocorrect got that from surface. The chains were a kit. They were supposed to be only epoxy but I also cross drilled for a brass pin and peened it over.
