Nova midi screw chuck same as bottle stopper?

I just got the Nova midi chuck from Woodcraft. It came with a screw chuck...Is this the same size as the screw chuck used for bottle stoppers? Do I have to have a separate tap for the blanks or can I just screw directly onto the chuck to thread it?

I have a Nova midi and that screw chuck will not work for stoppers. Depending on whose stoppers you are using they are either 3/8x16 or 1/4x20.
