noise on bandsaw startup

I have a new bandsaw....it makes a bit of a noise when it first starts, like a slipping belt...seems to be coming from the bottom or left side of the saw.

The belt is tight, and the blade is tensioned perfectly - but it's a bit of an odd sound...just wondering if I'm missing something...

What brand of saw do you have?

V belt or poly vee? What size wheels? Make sure the blade guides aren't too tight.

It's a grizzly - I just backed the bearing guides right off, and the same sound...

looks like a poly v belt
