newest casting

[DB in VT]

Last week I showed my first cast result. This one was from Saturday. I took it with me to the New England chapter meeting this past Sunday. I like the overall look of the ambrosia maple burl and green Alumilite resin. It is paired with an gold executive kit.
I have three more blanks cast with cherry burl just waiting for me to get some time to turn them. Maybe tomorrow evening.

I agree the wood and color are great. My I ask if the gold colored shine through the green on the third photo is the tube or just a reflection? If it is the tube I would suggest painting the tube before inserting.

You can see the tube if you look hard but there is also some gold dust in the green so it interferes with your ability to 'focus' on the tube. Good Eye!
