Back in March I took an embellishing workshop with Donna Banfield and learned so much. I don't turn but my number one hubby, Charlie_W does so he made me some pieces for the workshop. Here are three items I worked on. A cherry hollow form that has been painted with milk paint and carved with various rotary chisels. The green form is flaming box elder, milk paint, carving, and gilding. You can see some flamed color in some of the carving where paint was removed. The last is a maple platter turned thin and green and left to dry and move. It was burned on both sides, airbrushed with black acrylic paint and gilded. I am learning how important it is to enjoy the process and not expect perfection.
