Hello!

I've been turning pens now for a couple of months but only recently found this site, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. The money, time, and headache I could've saved if I'd known. You guys are wonderfully helpful!

The things I've learned since becoming a member have me looking back on my early work with disdain. I thought that was good? :frown:

Anyway, I look forward to learning even more as I peruse the site. Here's a link to my Etsy store with a few, mediocre offerings: http://www.fishrule.etsy.com

Welcome Kyle. There are lots of things here that have been tried, experimented with and concocted. It is fun and there are some great artists here as well as a bunch of us jokers!

Here is a link that has postings by different pen turners concerning what they wish they had known earlier:

Here is another link to a very basic overview of the many aspects of getting into turning pens. It may help some.

The last is a link of Acronyms that we use regularly to keep from typing so much!

Join in the fun and post some picts of your work.

Welcome Kyle, took a peak at your site. Nice pens, the lines are very well done on them, meaning the body looks like it belongs with the hardware.
